There's a good chance that you have already seen our channel, so in that case I would encourage you to sign up for our notification emails just for DIY videos. Why sign up for this? Simply because YouTube does not show you the channels you've subscribed to, rather it tries to show you what it thinks you'd prefer to see based on your search and web history.
I really enjoy the tech aspect, I’m a 67 year old Electronic tech who’s also a bass player. I do volunteer work at the local Pacifica radio station and perform a lot of the repairs, I’ll also be providing equipment for the Live studio. We have the only Live performance show in our market (Washington D.C.). I find your work refreshing and easy to follow, Please keep it up.
Truly,
Bill
Brian, thank you so much for taking the time to do DIY Pedal videos. I’m just starting out learning more about electronics for pedal circuits and just in general. I’d love to see more videos about the nitty gritty electronics and how you go from breadboarding, through prototyping and onwards. I think it could be really helpful for us noobs to see some videos about the kinds of components you decide to use in a circuit and why, with a word on what makes a component quality Vs low quality/unfit for purpose. It’d be interesting to see you do some mythbusting type videos and hear your thoughts on the various mojo tone components that are often talked about in online forum communities. Thanks again for making these videos, especially during these uncertain times and I wish you and your family good health and happiness.
Hi, what about the mid control in the pedals? I always thought it’s a bit hard to find the right and effective and on focus mid control in the pedals equalizer, schematically speaking. So why don’t talk about this?
Thank you!
Brian, thanks so much for taking the time to put together the “What Do The Parts Do” video – the part function explanations are perfect. I’ve been wanting to do pedal circuit tinkering for some time now and this video covers a good amount of ground in that respect. Please continue to make “nerdy” videos – thanks for being truly selfless with your knowledge.
This is life! Great videos Brian! please keep teaching us about circuits :)
Some ideas for future videos: What’s so special about the “dumble special” sound? i know it’s amp, not a pedal, but there are pedals that emulate that sound (like “the dude”). how does it compare to a fuzz, Klon/TS, dist, etc…?
Stay safe and healthy!
